Rosewater: Why has it Been Around in Skincare for Centuries?

Rosewater is renowned for its anti inflammatory benefits for glowing, radiant skin.

I might be preaching to the choir here, but rosewater is incredible. It smells good, rosewater tastes fantastic in tea, and it can make your skin look and feel like perfection. How do I know? I've had Lebanese tea and used rosewater skincare products on my face.

For that reason, I am super excited to talk about LUXWORKS 2:22 Tone. I have not found a superior rosewater toner since the first toner I tried was taken offline. We'll talk about why rosewater is so great for the skin and why it's been around forever. Then we'll wrap things up with a look at the 2:22 TONE and see if it can be a contender.

What is Rosewater and its History?

You might be surprised, but rosewater has been around for a long time. This flower-infused liquid was beloved by kings, queens, and infamous people throughout history. It is also believed to be one of the most outstanding beauty and wellness secrets of all time. Now the secret is out.

The Damask Rose is the supposed rose of choice when making rosewater. This unique rose hailed from the Middle East and was heavily utilized during the Sasanian Imperial Dynasty. The princes of the time would fill fountains with rosewater, so the princesses would be misted with the scent as they walked through the gardens.

A 10th-century Persian scientist named Avicenna is credited with creating refined rosewater. As its popularity spread, the Romans started using the product for skin care.

How Does Rosewater Benefit the Skin?

Rosewater is quite versatile and can be used as a toner or mist. The sweet-smelling liquid can also be infused into other skincare products, such as:

  • Cleansers
  • Moisturizers
  • Masks

Rosewater is safe for most (unless you're allergic to roses) skin types. When used regularly, rosewater can:

  • Gain a clearer and brighter complexion
  • Balances the skin’s natural oil production
  • Soothe skin irritations, puffiness, and redness
  • Help with anti-aging

Rosewater is an anti-inflammatory which is why it can do so much for your skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties are what make it ideal for skin conditions like:

  • Sensitivities
  • Eczema
  • Rosacea

LUXWORKS 2:22 Tone

We know that rosewater is impressive, but how does LUXWORKS' 2:22 Tone measure up? For starters, the ingredients list is short. A short list is an excellent sign of a good natural product. The whole list includes the following:

  • Rosewater
  • Colloidal Gold

We’ve heard about colloidal silver. What is colloidal gold capable of doing for the skin? According to LUXWORKS, colloidal gold delivers nutrients and oxygen to injured cells. Naturally, this speeds up the healing process. Colloidal gold can also reduce the signs of aging and repair elasticity loss.

The toner can be used any time of the day when you feel you need a hydration pick-me-up. All you have to do is mist and spread it over the face and neck. The 2:22 Tone is another of LUXWORKS' products that has earned a 5.0-star rating. With the fantastic benefits of rosewater and the luxurious qualities of LUXWORKS, it is no surprise that the toner is highly regarded.
