Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) is a shrub that’s indigenous to the United States. It’s been used for centuries by Native Americans as a remedy for a variety of skin ailments related to irritation and inflammation.

Witch hazel helps the oil and water combine and will help the scent linger for a longer period of time.  It also acts as a preservative, and helps our room / aura sprays last longer.  It will also help act as a binder, and prevent the essential oils from separating from the water.

It contains several compounds with potent anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties, which may be useful in treating a variety of conditions for the skin also.
